As blog network grow bigger, more and more people want be part of it. Either as a reader or as a  blogger, either as ‘have fun’ blogger or professional blogger, any of it all start with one thing – have a blog.  But not all willing to start a blog, maybe they think they got nothing to write about, but their interest is high, some people just love blog but they don’t have one and it such a waste really.  Unless you start a blog to generate income – sure you need a bit of planning but why not start one for the sake fulling your interest need?  Because with that in mind you don’t need to think much about where your blog headed, just do it.

I once been in motivational talk, and honestly I don’t like motivational talk – one because its boring and second it keeps saying something that I already know. But there is one segment that took my interest,  the motivator took out RM50($15), and ask “Do you want this?”  and everybody replied “Yes” and he ask again, same answer replied, then one girl stood up out of nowhere and walk into the motivator and grab the money out from the motivator hand and she walk back and sit.  Then the motivator ask people to clap for her, and he said if you just say you want it, you won’t get it, you need to take action to have it.  So stop dreaming about having blog, just do it.

I never knew what is blog really, it my friend ajinda who mention blog to me, and it really  grab my attention, from that day I started to blog and blog, it start with livejournal and then blogger and now self-hosted wordpress.  It all start with my intention to try it never occur in my mind to make money out of it whatsoever. You didn’t make money out of it, so why you blog? Simple, I blog because I love it and I gain a lot by blogging – one thing that I really learn a lot is about designing, now I can design my theme and without I start a blog – I’m sure I far from close to my knowledge about css,php and html like now.

So for this post, I dedicated to people who still reluctant to start a blog, just try it for the sake of your interest.  Because every journey start with single step and that single step is the most difficult one over other step on whole journey.  Remember nothing will come if you dream about it, you need to take action to get it and that is the real ’secret’.

Another pause, and with no hope to continue past few weeks.  Class, add and drop session, minor, registration, event you name it all crumbling into one whole space of time.  This blog became lesser and lesser enjoyable, but now I have a bit free time and I do it to give it a new theme a fresh and minimalist new theme.  I not done yet though, still under construction but I can’t put this blog on hold no longer something need to be done.  From now on I will try to push myself to write something,  just anything even it not related to blog and I hope what left of my reader still come and leave your comment.

One of my difficulties to write is to find suitable topic.  What should I write? Do people care about what the hell I write? Is it necessary to write about it? and all other question keep coming when I decide to write something.  So today I hope anyone, just anyone could comment and leave your idea what I should write about and with all my might I try write it.  Other than that is my design, what you think about it? Don’t you think it’s too blank? Is it hard to read? Just say anything, because it still under development process so change is possible.

We’re from monkey? If I can turn back the time, I’m sure going back and snap Darwin with my slipper.  But evolution is not wrong science because it does happen, from the big scary meat eaten dinosaur after evolution became just a chicken.  From the big flying bird, to small bird.  It happen from time to time but that is nature, what about your blog?  Can your blog going through an evolution?

Sure it does, your blog can evolution in many ways, like design, content, section and also income.  But different from nature evolution, blog evolution makes your blog bigger not smaller and it make it your blog better and better.  Because if you do evolution but your blog getting worse, so what the point?  I will go through all the example of blog evolution -

Design

This is very easy one, you can evolution your blog by change your design.  Maybe from free one to premium one, or from free change to your own unique blog design.  It all make your blog better and better.  Design is important and by far it is the easiest blog evolution.

Content

Maybe you’re comfortable with what kind of thing you now write but when time goes by I think it is better that you need to change the content a bit, maybe add more topic not just stick with one because when your blog grew older it may exhausted of topic because you almost cover it all, so go digging other stuff that may interested your reader.

Section

As for section, normal one your blog only have your blog post and sometime community news like what web designer blog do, so it is good if you revolutionize it with other stuff for closest example is Smashing Magazine, after they bought Noupe they change Smashing Mag to become blog more to community hence Smashing Network.  It pretty darn good evolution don’t you think? So learn from them and start make your blog better.

Income

And this is for blog that use the blog for source of income, I mean who doesn’t?  You may just stick with ad banner,pay-per-click, sponsored review and such but maybe you can expand the way you monetize by example do community forum, do a service like consultant and etc, there is lot of other ways to do it – maybe will be the time when ads banner or pay-per-click is over or doom.

I love comedian, especially stand up comedy, they are so thoughtful and manage to make people see one thing from the funny side even how serious the things are.  Give them any material, they will write a sketch that gonna bring laugh into utmost maximum.  I can’t understand why people still watch porn when there are so many brilliant stand up comedy video on youtube.  But the main thing I want to discuss is how those brilliant people can make you a very much better blogger?

Observe one thing from different side of view

Well to be them, you need to have the ability to think out of the box and it is not just out of the box but you also need to see the box from many different side, and for blogger when you thought about certain topic you need to see the topic from different point of view – from your side, from your reader side or from newbie side for example.  And by doing that your article will be enjoyed by most of your reader.

Ability to convey the story clearly

For comedian, even they have many jokes but if they don’t know how to speak the jokes properly people will not get it and how funny the jokes is laugh still lite.  Same to blogger, if they can’t describe or explain their points it become pointless.  So it is important to find your own way to conveying points so that reader will be comfortable with it and understand it easily.

Don’t lose your sense of humor

That the most important aspect of comedian, without humor no you can’t call yourself as comedian.  But for blogger maybe its not that important, still it play some part.  Like writing a post, if you can put jokes here and there it very much better wasn’t it?  Or even dealing with comment especially bad comment with sense of humor you can deal with those comments better.  Little laugh do no harm does it? So be funny, period.

So my advice is learn something from them because they are great personnel. If you see some fashion show or talk show, they often invited comedian to say something about it because what ever they said are make sense and the important is its funny not plain and stuck up comment.  So what do you think about relation between comedian and blogging?
